Better sources needed

[edit]

While the article clearly needs better sourcing I'm not sure the recent deletes are the best way to improve things.[1] Anyone interested in improving the article later might want to go back and revisit older versions of the article, as there didn't seem to be anything anything factually wrong from my skim reading just a lot of poorly sourced information relying too heavily on primary sources. -- 109.76.192.106 (talk) 03:13, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Spot

[edit]

This seems to be a bit more than trivia. Spot is actually a "recurring character", maybe that section could be added to List of Star Trek: The Next Generation characters Thoughts? - FlightTime (open channel) 15:13, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I reinstated the section per Talk:Data_(Star_Trek)/Archive_1#Merge_Spot_into_this_article. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:15, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Spot is not a character, it's just a pet. A plot device at best, a background prop at worst. Not only it does not deserve a standalone article (the thing discussed in the archive, almost 20 years ago), even a section in someone else's article is still too big. I disagree totally. - FlightTime (open channel) 20:12, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
