  • EDIT: 00:33, 15 Feb 2005 HistoryBA (Why is it "insulting misinformation" to say that Marchand was concerned about the quality of his English?)

  • This comment was posted by an anonymous user (142.161.168.7). Its insulting if he never said it. This remark has been taken out of context and is an insult. Please back up your reversal of my claim with facts. Thank you. JillandJack 02:16, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

And, the most insulting is calling them "les trois colombes (three doves) in French." Maybe today Separatist rhetoric uses that type of mockery, but not in 1965. Again, lease back up your reversal of my claim with facts. Thank you. JillandJack 02:21, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

This really perplexes me. Both Marchand's decision not to run because, at least in part, of his weakness in French and the use in 1965 of the term the "three doves" are well documented. To the best of my knowledge, there is no dispute over these facts. You, however, have stated bluntly that they are "insulting misinformation," as if there is some sort of debate as to their accurace. Now, however, you say that they are insulting "if" they are untrue. To the best of your knowledge, is there a debate over these facts? On what do you base your claim that they are NPOV? If you don't know much about the subject, why wouldn't you first raise the issue on the discussion page, rather than alleging NPOV and changing the article. In short, what am I missing here? Well, now I'm even more perplexed. You've reversed me again without responding to my comment above and without indicating why you refuse to accept Gerard Pelletier's memoirs as sufficient proof. I ask you please to respect the spirit of good will that is supposed to govern Wikipedia and discuss things here before reverting. HistoryBA 01:21, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)
