Speedy deletion of Victory Tug

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Victory Tug, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article has been substantially changed. It would be helpful if you would respond to the questions on the article talk page. Thanks. John Howell (talk) 19:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removing tags

[edit]

If you've fixed the problem in an article, you're welcome to remove the tags yourself. You don't have to seek permission of whoever added them. If you feel it could be controversial, you could try mentioning it on the talk page when you do it so that others can check if they want to. Angela. 10:17, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:LordNelsonTugsInSeattle2006.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 08:57, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The file File:LNVTGalley.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused low-res personal photo with watermarked text and timestap

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 08:54, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
