The Indo-European "Celtic" group of languages have been missed of the map. These languages are currently spoken in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Brittany.

As they are a brance of the Indo-European, sitll surviving and spoken today, they should be included in the Map.

Thank you for making a very useful map.

I'd like to see the Uralic language group have its own colour, instead of being "other"

Thank you very much for making this image. However, it seems the classification is not so precise as in language families and languages. For instance, Sino-Tibetan languages and Tai-Kadai languages are considered separate today, and Altaic languages should be included instead of Turkish. I'm looking forward to seeing further improvements. - TAKASUGI Shinji 08:55, 2005 Mar 25 (UTC)

New map

[edit]

I have made a completely new map that takes your suggestions into account. I have completed all of it except Russia. --Industrius 18:05, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

What are the sources for this map? I've checked the talk page for the image (i.e. this page) and the talk pages for both Industrius and Mttll but I can't see any sources for the map. Is it derived from a single source or from multiple sources? If multiple sources, is there a source list somewhere? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.56.63.75 (talk) 20:19, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Burushaski

[edit]

Burushaski needs to be added to the map, its a language isolate in northern Kashmir. Abrahamic Faiths (talk) 02:42, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ongan needs to be added to, its a small but notable family in the Andamese islands, I would update these, but my computer cant handle transparency, and I don't want to ruin this beautiful map. Abrahamic Faiths (talk) 20:03, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cyprus

[edit]

The southern half of Cyprus speaks Greek but isn't colored the same as Greece. Abductive (reasoning) 05:12, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
