The Chronic: "First" blockbuster hip-hop album?

[edit]

The Chronic was not exactly the first blockbuster hip-hop album: the Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill (1986) has that honor. Though someone might argue otherwise, the fact remains: it is a hip-hop album, and it was a blockbuster, and it was the first (86). Alexander 007 03:34, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC) Agreed. Beasties were there first and it IS hip-hop. Dre's album is still notable but the wording needs to be more about perhaps being the first glimpse of Snoop Doggy Dogg as well as its success for Dre. 12.171.224.124 (talk) 18:48, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Faith no More "Angel Dust"

[edit]

I'm moving Faith No More's "Angel Dust" into the releases section, seeing as they never recorded any song called "Angel Dust," but Angel Dust was a highly influential album from that year. Lastanzabianca

[edit]

The Celts was released on 6th November 1992. Not listed.

Alice in Chains - Sap

[edit]

Can someone who knows how to edit the table please remove "Alice in Chains - Sap" from the March 21 listing? The EP is listed twice in the table and according to the EP's page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sap_(album) the first listing (in February) is the correct one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.83.232.185 (talk) 04:51, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

According to the album wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva_(Annie_Lennox_album)), this album was released April 6, 1992, not April 27, as it's currently on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.83.232.185 (talk) 21:18, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
