Eoghan Mor was never and should not be refered to as Eoghan Mor II. Those are regnal conventions associated with Britain and Europe; they were only very rarely used here in Ireland. Unless anyone can come up with a good dissenting view, I'll change the title within a week. Fergananim

Then how should we difference the two Eoghan Mors?

"Eoghan Mór Taidlech" and "Eoghan Mór Mogha Nuadhad" for the younger and older respectively? This syntax seems wrong.

How about:

  • "Mogha Nuadhad" as the title for the elder, and reference the name "Eoghan Mór" in the article.
  • "Eoghan Mór" as the title for the younger, and reference the name "Eoghan Taidlech" in the article.

Noticed that someone made another stub for this person under a variant spelling. I went ahead and merged the text, and set a redirect here. - Eoghanacht 20:25, 2005 Mar 14 (UTC)
