Sane?

[edit]

Are the guy on the WB and the grandson of Hubbard really the same guy?--STLEric 06:06, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Father & Mother

[edit]

The opening paragraph states that he's the son of Connie Chung and Maury Povich. Yet he was born in 1970, and Chung & Povich have only been married since 1984. His full name is also listed as Jaimie Harvey Kennedy, implying that that is his birth name. Does anyone have confirmation of this statement?

It's vandalism. Rockstar (T/C) 06:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jamie Kennedy NOT Grandson of L. Ron Hubbard

[edit]

Jamie Kennedy shares the name of L. Ron Hubbard's great-grandson, but is not the same guy, and this is a misnomer. The OTHER Jamie Kennedy is a spoken word performer, who has shared his personal beliefs on L.Ron and his cultish religion in his performances. The Jamie Kennedy mentioned on this page, ironically, often performs his stand-up comedy at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center, which may or may not imply that he is a Scientologist, himself.

Jamie Kennedy Poet

[edit]

I removed the part refering to the church of scientology and started a new page regarding Jamie Kennedy the poet to which that event is accually attributed.

blowin up

[edit]

somebody should add something about his show blowing up

Ellen Rapaport

[edit]

Was she a ghostwriter or, as it says a few paragraphs down, a coauthor? Perhaps someone who knows more about Kennedy could set it straight (and reorganize/clean up the article as a whole). Colin 21:21, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stub-Class?

[edit]

Has anyone read the article? This seems start-class worthy at least, definitely not stub. Rockstar (T/C) 05:22, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Malibu's Most Wanted

[edit]

This article claims that Malibu's Most Wanted was a big success, but the page for the movie doesn't offer any proof that it was ever #1 at the box office or that it even grossed more than it cost to make (and the cost is not listed either). You'd almost think Jamie Kennedy wrote both pages himself. 68.229.184.37 20:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TV Appearances

[edit]

His page lists his filmography but doesn't seem to include his TV appearances. Should there be a new section?

Kal Penn?

[edit]

"He has often appeared in movies with Kal Penn." Often? I only count two movies. I don't know if that qualifies as often. Theserialcomma (talk) 04:19, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amish Guy in Sexdrive

[edit]

It says in the career section that he plays the "lovable amish man" in Sex Drive, when in fact, it is Seth Green playing the amish man. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.15.245.177 (talk) 16:16, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's correct. I just verified both the movie's official website and IMDB. I have removed the statement.Scwlong (talk) 20:35, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Priest in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

[edit]

The Filmography in this article states that he played the priest in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. I personally don't remember him in that film (though that doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't). However, both his IMDB entry as well as the entry for the film itself do not credit him in this role, which further leads me to believe that this is a mistake.

Also, if this is in fact untrue, it should be noted that the article for I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry also credits him as playing the Priest, therefore, an edit will need to be made there as well.

It wasn't him in Chuck and Larry, it was Rob Schneider. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.61.114.18 (talk) 22:22, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

E3 Fallout

[edit]

This article fails to mention his 2007 Activision E3 debacle or the subsequent - and prolonged - online fallout. 98.253.220.185 (talk) 19:51, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide a reliable source covering this 'debacle'? If not, it can't be included. Robofish (talk) 22:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Heckler

[edit]

Seems odd that there's no mention of the movie "Heckler" in here, especially considering the commentary it gives on this guy's personality. 174.19.160.31 (talk) 09:14, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At second glance, it appears that this documentary IS mentioned, but like most things in this article it skips over any negative criticism. I find it quite interesting that there is no mention of the near complete consistency of box office failure and bad reviews that follow him, especially for someone so prolific. 174.19.160.31 (talk) 10:22, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I find it interesting that you think this article should slam this dude because you don't like him. Articles are here to detail why a person is notable, not include reviews about their movies and crap. If you're so interested in that, why don't you take the time to expand the goddamn article instead of bitching on the talk page and obsessing over someone you obviously have a distaste for. Weird that you would seek out what you don't like but I suppose it takes all kinds to make this world go round.
To be honest, I had never heard of this gentleman prior to watching this documentary. I became interested in what work he had done after hearing him talk about his career in the movie, and found that a lot of the things he had starred in hadn't been very well received. I was simply curious as to why, as many wikipedia articles on celebrities DO touch on this aspect of their careers, why his poor critical and box office performance hadn't been mentioned. I have neither the knowledge of Mr. Kennedy's career nor the technical knowledge of how to edit wikipedia to be comfortable in editing the article itself. From what I had gathered, situations like that are why the talk pages exist. "Bitching" and "obsessing" about how I apparently "don't like him" aside, it seems that critical and public reception to his work WOULD be notable in a biographic-style entry. 174.19.160.31 (talk) 19:49, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you can figure out how to edit a talk page, I'm sure you can give editing an article a go. There are a billion and one resources detailing how to write an article, how to add content, finding sources, etc., so there's no excuse to expect someone else to do it. I doubt the deep analysis and critical reception of his films are missing because of some great conspiracy however. I'd say it's missing because the guy does moronic comedy movies and his career is hardly in need to great analysis or text that reads "his movies are terrible and are critically panned". It also appears that few people work on this page. There are millions of articles here so some get overlooked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.72.176.240 (talk) 20:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
