Strikes me that this page will probably never be any good. I promise be delighted if someone comes along and proves me wrong, but also very very surprised. This page sucks big-time. It was a bad idea in the first place. Probably the kindest thing to do would be put it out of its misery and list it on VFD. Tannin 12:04, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)

i did some work on it. moved much of the "historical" info to History of Sydney and added the usual breakdown of music, art, theatre etc. that other city articles have. i kept the community/subculture info here, because it's probably the best place for it right now. i think it's better to the extent that it doesn't need to be listed on vfd Clarkk 11:21, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)
I doubt that this will ever make Brilliant prose, Clark, but it is at least better than it was. The first para still sucks, but I'll have a crack at that myself in a moment. (Then we can all wander off looking for more fertile ground.) Tannin
I propose that we merge this entry into the Sydney entry. Sydney's culture is not extensive nor unique enough to warrant its own separate page. Aureliano

well pony up and improve it, dude! --clarkk 12:06, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please euthanase this article now —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.216.61.22 (talk) 04:22, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed Hispanic as the term is never used in Australia. People / culture may be Spanish, Chilean or Argentinian, but never Hispanic.

Someone hit the kill switch on this excuse for an article - should just be combined with the main Sydney page — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.160.36.224 (talk) 00:18, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anarchy dude!

[edit]

There seriously needs to be a section about the punk and left wing culture in Sydney. While it isn't as good as in Melbourne, it still deserves a mention. And the bit on gay culture? That is pathetic. Seriously.

So, can some one with some knowledge (obviously not me, otherwise I would be doing so) fix it up?

What city was RML based from?

[edit]

This year, Nickelodeon's show that currently is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary, which is not Real Monsters, but RML. I think Rocko lives in Australia, but maybe Sydney was the city that he lives in. If not, then what city, and if it's fictional city where is the city based off from. Melbourne? Brisbane? Perth? Adelaide? Darwin? I'm just giving you examples :). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.9.114.198 (talk) 21:12, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING. Yes, I'm 75.76.56.132 but I am the same person that was 50.9.114.198 before, but I am that new IP address and I AM the exact same as 50.9.114.198, but have a new internet provider. And RML's actual city is (pun-intended) "NICK"named "O-Town", and it may refer to a city from Australia or in the U.S., like Orlando, since it has an "O" in the beginning, so maybe Orlando should be it. IDK. Sorry if I am not using Aussie language, I'm American. :)75.76.56.132 (talk) 22:37, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
