Here's my (Palmcluster) wish list for this article:

The definition in the second paragraph ("Political migrations differ from other migrations by attempting to change aspects of a political system") does not include: migrating to escape a political system or migrating to maintain an existing political system. I would like to improve the definition to include these types of migration.

I think the first paragraph of the "United States" subsubsection under "Government Political Migrations" overly simplifies the causes of Indian removal.

maybe add more information about the causes or maybe remove the causes information and leave that for the Indian removal article. Palmcluster 21:01, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Under the private political migrations subsection, I would like some information about organized political migrations to Vermont. I understand that such migrations have existed but I haven't found any information about them.

Suggested rename to Emigrationism

[edit]

I would like to suggest a move to in Emigrationism; "Emigrationism" and "Emigrationist" are terms that have been used in scholarly sources to describe many of these movements.--Pharos (talk) 23:25, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
