It's a drag?

[edit]

The article claims "an astounding drag coefficient of only 0.29 - which actually outperforms most modern sports cars". Sounds like a lot of hype. The 1949 Saab 92 has 0.3 and it's far from both modern and sports car. You get 0.28 in the Saab 9-3 sedan. So the drag was good for it's time, but not exceptional. // Liftarn

First fiberglass monocoque

[edit]

Sorry, but it wasn't first. The 1956 Berkeley T60 beat the Elite by three years. // Liftarn

I think you mean the B-60; the T-60 is the three-wheel version, dating from around 1959. Noel (talk) 16:09, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Elite not the first Lotus produced car to race in Australia

[edit]

I have removed the line claiming that an Elite was the first Lotus produced car to race in Australia as a Lotus Six was raced at Albert Park in Victoria, Australia by Alex Strachan on 18 March of 1956, the year before the Elite was released.
