Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1-1-0

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1-1-0 was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was 5 delete, 2 keep, one abstention, and one "perhaps merge". I'm calling this one as a "delete". —No-One Jones (m) 03:59, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Possible speedy? Blanked, history says its some kind of football play. Can't see why it was blanked, or why it deserves to stick around as a blank page. Even if restored, it's just a football play. Do we need an article for every single possible play? No. (Sportcruft? =P) PMC 00:50, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Abstain. Someone familiar with football needs to clear this one up. Wyllium 01:54, 2004 Nov 10 (UTC)
  • Delete: Soccer formation, but only applicable to "park" soccer? Bizarre. How would people feel about 3-2 that's all about an American football defense or Triangle and one for basketball? Utterly unsearchable and insignificant. Geogre 04:54, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Perhaps merge into an article about the 2 per side game this article refers to? siroχo 05:20, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Pointless entry: "2-a-side" is not a recognised type of soccer, just how four people might choose to pass the time in a park. (Apologies - I blanked the page to see if there was any reaction from the editor: not the right thing to do, I now realise.) Timberline 20:02, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete, or merge into a general article. Too specific. SAB 15:43, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep and cleanup. Verifiable and factually accurate -- [[User:OldakQuill|Oldak Quill]] 23:53, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • (If factually accurate, what does the "0" mean in this "formation"?) Timberline 22:39, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Nothing here that isn't already at rush goalie, and the term "1-1-0" is a neologism anyway (and thus not suitable for a redirect). sjorford 09:34, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC) (BTW, according to Google, "1-1-0 = 0")
  • Keep, but add a disambiguation page so that the Japanese emergency phone number doesn't link to it! 82.36.26.229 20:09, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
