Howdy! I wanted to warn you that I've trimmed back your edit to reflect two guidelines in Wikipedia: neutral point of view (no opinions, even "rowdy") and No original research (we can't use our own observations--have to find things via other sources--see WP:CITE). The grammar fixes on Timbuktu, though, look very well conceived.

Anyway, that being said, I'm very happy to meet another Mali-interested Wikipedian! I lived outside of Koutiala for a while myself. There's no doubt that here on WP it's the road less travelled by, and our coverage could still use a lot of work. I don't know if this is a continued area of interest for you, but if it is, here's some other links that you may want to check out:

Amadou and Mariam "Senegal Fast Food"

[edit]

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. I see you speak a bit of Bambara, and I was wondering if you knew the song "Senegal Fast Food" by Amadou & Mariam. If you do, do you know if the second chorus (after the "quelle heures est il en paradis?" bit) is in Bambara, and if so (this would be too good to be true) what the words are in either English or the original language? If you can't help, don't worry! Abbyemery 17:57, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

47 in Bambara

[edit]

Hi, I am collecting translations for the number 47 (forty-seven). So far I have 509 translations, which you can see here. Can you help and tell me how to say and write 47 in Bambara? I'd be most thankful; please reply on my talk page. Thank you! — N-true 14:34, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
