Removal of titles from people's names

[edit]

Hi Jswfl09, I have removed the "Dr." title from the names in the Florida Gulf Coast University article, and left a note explaining the removal on its talk page. Have a good day! ~ Danelo 17:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not a problem... the page is still a work in progress and will undergo more stringent formatting in the near future. Jswfl09 18:12, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Nch logo.JPG, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Nch logo.JPG is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Nch logo.JPG, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. CSDWarnBot 20:03, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I requested this removal as I uploaded a new image with a different format. Jswfl09 20:14, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bonita springs seal.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --21:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:FGCU Eagle.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:26, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Estero River (Florida), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Inka888 03:23, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback

[edit]
Hello, Jswfl09. You have new messages at Inka 888's talk page.
Message added 19:23, 21 September 2010 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.[reply]

The article County Road 850 (Lee County, Florida) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable road. Article is unreferenced to support any claims made.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Imzadi 1979  02:58, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of County Road 850 (Lee County, Florida) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article County Road 850 (Lee County, Florida), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/County Road 850 (Lee County, Florida) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Imzadi 1979  17:21, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Banana Republic

[edit]

It is not an opinion that Corporations control politics in America. It is a fact. The corporate bailout proved that fact. Since control by economic elite for political purposes is the definition of a Banana Republic America falls under that heading according to the Oxford English Dictionary, which I could also reference if it makes you feel better. Byron out.

- Tried to contact this user but they have been blocked indefinitely. You have to love the political agendas here on Wikipedia. It's not about how I "feel," buddy. Some just don't learn. jswfl09 (talk) 17:11, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:FGCU Eagle.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:FGCU Eagle.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:19, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
