Colour[edit]

Why does E Coli appear pink? Because of Lipids in the membrane? --2A01:112F:742:C00:129:9EAB:F059:D30 (talk) 10:18, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no color on the electron microscope pics. The color is just there to enhance the contrast. --Artoria2e5 🌉 18:33, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question hour About E coli??[edit]

What are the uses of E-coli in industrial level? Did they are used in the production of any chemicals or any food items? Abinjannath (talk) 10:44, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Abinjannath, Escherichia_coli#Model_organism_in_life_science_research already answers the question. Follow the "main article" link of Escherichia coli in molecular biology and you will see what we use it for. --Artoria2e5 🌉 18:33, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Role in Renewable Propane[edit]

I think the role of E.coli in the generation of renewable propane deserves a section. There has been a lot of speculation about the process used by Pauli Kallio and others to generate renewable propane from E.coli.[1]CessnaMan1989 (talk) 14:01, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
