The correct (italian) spelling is Eleonora d'Arborea. There is yet an Eleonora d'Arborea (shorter and without picture). Enzino 16:36, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC) (I'm not able to join both).

Eleanor of Arborea

[edit]

Here we are on the English Wikipedia, using English. The English name form is "Eleanor of Arborea". It would be easiest for readers of English pedia to FIND the information, were it "Eleanor" - they do not then need to know which is the correct Italian spelling of the name.

I suggest that all that information is collected under "Eleanor of Arborea" and the others are made redirects. 213.243.175.170 18:05, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

English Wikipedia? I thought that it was only English-spoken! I hope that some readers on WP want to know how it is the correct spelling of this name (and others). English speaking people are not alone in the world. Thanks (an English-(poor)-speaking person). Enzino 20:11, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The form "Eleanor of Arborea" wins the Google test, so I merged the pages here. However, if this name is unacceptable, be bold and change it. Gdr 19:24, 2005 Jun 26 (UTC)

Although Eleanora wins on Google, the sources seem generally less reliable, mainly on-line encs and similar which copy content from each other. The foreign language versions of this article all have Eleonora. The bird of prey named for this lady is Eleonora's Falcon. I therefore propose that the main article has the Eleonora spelling, with the alternative spelling as a redirect. jimfbleak 16:21, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is that her? The fashion is from the 1530s. --85.226.45.227 (talk) 14:40, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
