Hello

This is my first attempt at writing in the Wikipedia.

Welcome

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for joining us! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

P.S. - This is your talk page. People can come here and leave you messages and comments. Your personal page here, where you can post a little bit about yourself, is your user page, and you can reach yours here: User:Iv67. What you have started with here would probably be better suited to your user page, since that is just for you to edit (it's considered very bad Wikiquette to mess with someone else's user page), but editing talk pages to leave messages is encouraged.

Sorry... just learning the ropes (Aogg)
That's okay—this is a complicated sort of place and you're not expected to magically know everything at once! Just to show you how it's usually done, I went ahead and editted my original comments back in so you could see how talk pages generally work. It's usually considered better not to remove material posted by others on your talk page, since that gives the impression that you are trying to hide something. (But if I minded, I wouldn't be doing this, honest!) --[[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]] 18:55, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. This is a school assignment and believe me, I am grateful for any help anyone can offer!

Welcome to Wikipedia. While I realize that your contribution was motivated by the desire to please a teacher, we would be dleighted if you would write more articles for our volunteer encyclopedia. With your expertise it would be great if you could help fill some gaps listed at missing education topics. Or as a Ryerson student the Canadian wikipedians' notice board may be of interest to you. - SimonP 05:28, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)

Merging articles...

Seeing as how you were involved w/ the Speech pathology article, I thought you might be interested in the current merge discussion. Please join the discussion at Talk:Speech therapy.
