In astrology, the Balsamic Moon, also known as the Waning Crescent, occurs about three and a half days before the New Moon.[1][2] The old name for the balsamic moon was the old crescent,[3] the source for it's current name is unknown but is widely applied by astrology practitioners.[4][5]
