Watership Down

[edit]

I always thought this was located above Kingsclere, in Hampshire and south of the River Kennet. The article 'Watership Down' confirms a Hampshire location. But this article defines the Berkshire Downs as north of the River Kennet.

So either Watership Down isn't in the Berkshire Downs -or- we have the wrong definition of the Berkshire Downs. Thoughts -- Chris j wood 01:02, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Actually, I think I have resolved this one. I've noticed that recent maps seem to refer to the whole downland area around West Berkshire/North Hampshire/South Oxfordshire/North Wiltshire as the North Wessex Downs, after the AONB of that name. So rather and try and make rather vague differentiations, I've created an article on that and redirected the others at it. Now Watership Down fits perfectly. -- Chris j wood 20:44, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
